Vampire (continue...)

She awoke suddenly in the night. Arywin laid in bed wide eyed, starring at the ceiling. Her room was dark; it took her awhile for her eyes to adjust. Arywin turned her head to the side to look out her window. The full moon shined brightly through a small slit through her curtains. Arywin groaned in disgust. She had just slept through the entire day. As Arywin sat up in bed, she realized that her brother must have closed her curtains for her. Pulling the covers off over her, Arywin got out of bed. She could feel the cold floor against her bare feet. Grabbing her sweatshirt from the closet, Arywin walked out of her room and down the stairs. She was just about to enter the kitchen when she stopped. Arywin turned her head to the side to look into the living room. The lights were off and everyone was gone but for some reason, Arywin got this uneasy feeling. The hair on her arms stood on end as she entered the room. She felt like she was being watched but there was no one in the room save herself. As Arywin turned to exit the room, she ran into a tall figure. Strong hands gripped her arms as she tried to pull away. Fear overtook her as she struggled to break free. A deep laugh caused her to freeze and stand there in horror. Slowly, Arywin looked up at her captor’s face. The familiar features of Drake could be seen from underneath his hood. Arywin let out a breath of relief.

“What the hell are you doing here?” she asked in between breaths. Drake’s smile widened.

“Watching over you. Your brother and Libby went out for a hunt and I volunteered to stay behind to watch over you.” His grip around her arms tightened but Arywin refused to show any weakness.

“I don’t need you or anyone to watch me. I can take care of myself.” Hissed Arywin as she tied to pull away again.

“That’s not the only reason why I stay.” His smile faded from his face. “You’re brother pissed me off earlier.”

“Join the club.” Snapped Arywin. “You think you the only one he’s pissed off. He’s gotten on my nerves as well.” Arywin gripped his hands, trying to pull them away from her. The feeling in her arms was starting to fade. Her hands were cold from his touch, sending shivers down her spine. She groaned in pain. “Drake let go of me. You’re hurting me.” Drake began to smile again. He pulled her close to him, Drake reliesed her arms and wrapped his around her. His mouth was right next to her ear. She could feel his cold breath blowing against it making her lips tremble. “Why don’t we get out revenge then? I know a way that we can get back at your brother for pissing both of us off.”

Arywin placed her hands on his chest and tried to push away from him. “What did he do to you?” She asked. Alastair’s arms tightened around her as he felt her start to struggle.

“He won’t let me have what I want.” His lips brushed up against her ear causing her to stop struggling. She stood there frozen in his arms. Her breathing came in quick gasps. Eye widened, Arywin choked through her question.

“What is it you want?”

Drake chuckled as he gently placed a kiss on her neck. “I’m pretty sure you can figure it out.” He whispered Arywin’s skin crawled on the side of her neck. She swallowed hard as she discovered his want. Pushing against him again, Arywin tried a lot harder to free herself.

“Well you can’t have it. I’m not going to let you.” She groaned. Drake laughed as he pulled his head back to look in her eyes.

“You think that you can stop me? Come on Arywin, I’m a lot stronger than yourself. I can have whatever I want, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Just then Arywin saw a flash of white. She let out a scream as she felt his fangs dig into her neck. Her legs turned to jello, refusing to support her. Her eyes widen as she felt pain ripple through her entire body. She felt herself being lowered to the floor. When she felt the floor under her entire body, Arywin slowly drifted into darkness. Never to feel the warmth of the sun again.
