She rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she walked down stairs. As she walked into the kitchen, Arywin saw her brother in the corner of the kitchen. He was sitting at the table in the corner furthest from the lit window. He slowly sipped his coffee which she could smell from where she was standing across the room. He didn't even look up when she had entered. She knew he knew that she was standing there, but figured that he was still mad at her. Shrugging, Arywin walked over to the cabinet and took down a mug of her own. Silently she filled her own cup and walked over to the table to sit down. Only when she sat across from him, did her brother look at her. She smiled quickly and then looked down at her cup. The liquid steamed inside the cup. The mist surround her face when she took a sip of the liquid. As she set the cup down, Arywin looked up at her brother.
"Where did you go last night, Rave?"
Rave looked up at her and scowled. "Since when did I have to tell you? I'm the older one here, shouldn't I be asking you that question?"
Arywin shrugged. "But you knew where I was last night." Arywin took another sip, keeping her eyes on her cup. "I'm not the one who wondered off and had a fit." she replied coolly.
"Well if you wouldn't have argued with me then I wouldn't have had to have left." Arywin rolled her eyes and slammed the cup down on the table, spilling some of the coffee on to her hands. The liquid was hot but she didn't care. She glared at her brother.
"Oh so this is my fault? Since when did you pin this on me?" Yelled Arywin. "I wasn't the one who went out that one night like an idiot. I stayed home and suggested you do the same but no." Arywin sat back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. 'If he would have just done what I had asked, we wouldn't be in this situation.' Thought Arywin as she looked away. She jumped when she heard a deep echo inside her head.
'I wouldn't change you into the monster that I am for anything, Arywin. You're my light in the dark nights, a candle forever burning. If I lost that, I wouldn't know what to do. I cannot give you what you seek.' Rave stood up and slowly walked to the sink.
Aryiwn jumped to her feet. "Why the hell not?"
"I just told you." He replied calmly. He slowed turned back around to face his sister.
"I can still be that light Rave, but I also don't want to be weak either."
"Arywin you are hardly weak. You have the spirit of the black panther protecting you, you're not weak." Rave crossed his arms and starred at Arywin blankly. He admired her determination and strength but he didn't want to crush her.
"Rave. I can't be a panther all the time."
"Arywin drop it. I'm not going to change you into the demon that I am." Rave pause for moment almost deciding his words wisely. Deciding to be straight and to the point, Rave took a breath and than continued. "I'm not going to change you into a Vampire."
