Arywin spent a majority of her days either packing or sleeping since her nights were spent with Daniel. It didn’t take her and Rave long to pack up everything in their tiny house and move it to the old Victorian house out in the country. Arywin had fallen in love with the house ever since she first laid eyes upon it. It was definitely old, dating back to the 1800s at least. There was also a nice horse barn off to the side of the house.
During the month they had been packing, Rave had hired some people to come and fix the house. Repainting it, fixing the walls, and windows. Doing whatever needed to be done to make the house livable again. Arywin also requested they fix the barn and fences around the area as well.
Arywin wasn’t sure if it was a good thing to allow Libby to design her room. She had been anxious to see what her friend had done for her in the new house. But when she opened the door to her new room, Arywin gasped. Libby had captured what Arywin had been wanting.
The room was made of beep reds and purples, similar to Libby’s own room. The round custom bed which fit perfectly in the corner of her room, had smooth red and purple silk sheets. There were two glass doors lined with dark stained oak that lead out to the small balcony. The curtains around the doors were also purple and red, matching her indoor heavy balcony curtains. The indoor balcony overlooked the downstairs living room. The rocky fireplace rest next to her bed, giving the room a gentle glow with its flaming light. A heavy oak desk rested in the corner next to the elegant bathroom door.
Arywin was at a lost of words at her room but she quickly unpacked her things, excited to finally be living in her new room. After unpacking, Arywin ran to her bed and flopped down on top of it. There were loads of pillows lined against the wall designed to match the bed. It was soft and comfortable, almost making Arywin fall asleep the moment she laid upon it. “Thank you, Libby.” She whispered to herself as slowly climbed off the bed.
The house was huge and elegant, styling back to its prime ages along with some modern updates. Arywin could have gotten lost within the beauty of the house. Everything looked as if she should be wearing a beautiful ball gown and throwing parties. Libby laughed at Arywin’s description of the old house.

Vampire 1 entry (continued)
It was a week later when Arywin found herself taking a Taxi to Daniel’s apartment again. He had been gone all week on a business trip so Arywin spent the time packing and trying to avoid Rave and Libby. Ever since the accident, they have been closer than ever so Arywin was doing her best to give the two some privacy.
As she sat in the back seat of the taxi, Arywin looked out the window, observing the outside world without much thought. Her mind was elsewhere, thinking about what Dr. Maxner had said a week ago. She didn’t even realize the taxi had stopped until the driver spoke to her. Her head snapped forward to look at the driver.
“Huh?” She asked him in confusion. The taxi driver turned back to look at her. He was wearing a yellow cap over spiky black hair. His face was a little on the chunky side and his beard needed a good trim.
“Here’s your stop, Miss.” His voice was deep with a slight Spanish accent. He pointed with his finger to the building making Arywin turn her head to look. Yep, that was Daniel’s building alright. It was a cloudy day which was a good thing for Arywin, she wouldn’t draw attention this way. Saying, she paid the driver and climbed out of the car. Closing the door, she turns and slowly walks into the building.
She looked around at the lobby. Wasn’t the best she had seen. A few chairs here and there, and a front desk just a few feet from her. It looked dirty but Arywin wasn’t expecting anything better. Daniel’s room was pretty clean though. He must have hired a cleaning person not part of the apartment building or done the cleaning himself.
Speaking of the charming boyfriend, Arywin was surprised to see him walking towards her with a huge grin on his face. Before Arywin knew what was happening, he swept her up into a huge hug. Her arms wrapped around him and held him close. Pulling back a little, Daniel laid his lips upon hers
“Missed you.” He finally said when he broke the kiss. Arywin simple smiled and nodded, unable to speak at the moment. He returned the smile and kissed her again. Her eyes closed as she sank into the kiss. Pressing herself against him, Arywin deepened the kiss, moving her lips with his. He smiled against her lips and pulled away. “I can tell you missed me as well. Come on.”
Daniel took her hand and led her up to his room. She didn’t really remember how to get up there since they were making out in the elevator and down the hall to his apartment. His apartment hadn’t changed since she had been there last. Surprisingly, he reached up and removed her light grey jacket from her shoulders. He turned and hung it up in the closet before facing her again and giving her a low whistle as his eyes traveled up and down her.
Arywin was wearing her tight dark blue jeans, the ones she always wore around him. She wore a dark purple button-up blouse over a white tank top. Arywin laughed when he whistled. For once she wasn’t trying to impress him seeing as she already had. But it didn’t seem to matter what she wore to him, she always appeared just right. The one thing that she loved about this outfit, it showed off her curves.
She smiled and stepped towards him. Her hand rested on his chest, tracing his muscles through his normal white t-shirt. Daniel smiled at her and swooped in to kiss her. The next thing Arywin knew, she was cuddling with him on the couch watching TV while sharing popcorn. He was laying underneath her as she rest on top of his and her head laying on his chest, listening to the beat of his heart. Her purple blouse was laying on the back of the couch.
They were watching a movie based on what mortals called fantasies. Werewolves, vampires, zombies; creatures like that. Arywin sighed as she watched the screen.
“Hey Daniel?” She asked, shifting herself to look at his face. It took him a minute to avert his eyes from the screen to Arywin. He raised his eyebrows, waiting for Arywin to say something. “Do you believe in that stuff? Vampires, werewolves and stuff like that?” she added when he gave her a confused look. Arywin nodded towards the screen to show him what she meant.
Daniel shrugged. He placed his hand on the small of her back and lifted the tank a little to rub her skin with his hand. He traced the small of her back as he answered. “No, not really. It’s a fantasy, Arywin. There’s no way someone could live forever, drinking the blood of others. It just doesn’t seem possible.”
Arywin averted her gaze as she nodded to the words he said. Sighing, she lowered her head back down to his chest and listened to the stead beat of his heart.
“Arywin?” He asked. She could hear the tension in his voice so she made a small sound letting him know she was listening but otherwise remained still. “I didn’t offend you, did I?”
Arywin shook her head against his chest. “No, I was just wondering.” Making sure he didn’t question farther, Arywin lifted herself up to look him in the eyes and smiled. He returned the smile. Placing hand on the back of her neck, Daniel drew her closer and covered her mouth with his own.
Arywin groaned with pleasure against his lips causing her throat to vibrate. He angled his head to deepen the kiss sending her tumbling into passion. Her arms wrapped themselves around him, holding him closer. She could feel his hands on her back, slowly lifting her shirt up, trying to touch skin. The warmth of his hands made her stomach knot with excitement. His fingers tracing her skin, making her moan.
Laughing, she pulled away from him, straightening her arms to look down at him. There was a sneaky smile upon her face. He returned the smile and took an obvious look at her chest, hinting at what he wanted. Arywin laughed and shook her head. “Not tonight, boy.” She tapped his nose with her finger to emphasize her point. Daniel rolled his eyes and continued to smile. She only said not tonight, she didn’t say not at all.

Vampire 1 entry (continued)
They sat like that for the longest time. Even after the sun rose over the horizon and bathed them in its light. Their skin turned extremely pale and their eyes were bloodshot red. Gently, Rave ran his fingers through Arywin’s loose hair and then let it fall. He wrapped her tighter in the embrace he was giving her.
“Arywin. I know this is a bad time to bring this up, but that house we were looking at before you were changed, well it went on sale the other day so I purchased it and placed this one on market.” Arywin pulled away from him and looked in Rave’s eyes. “We’re suppose to be out by the end of the month.”
Arywin nodded her head as she looked at her hands. “I think a move would be good. It can help us forget some unwanted memories.” Her eyes shifted to the spot right in front of the living room door. Memories for Drake changing her into a vampire flashed through her mind. She forced herself to look back at Rave who was thinking the exact same thing. A gentle smile spread across his face as he reached up and wiped one of her tears away.
“We don’t need to start anything now. You head up and get some sleep.” Arywin nodded her head and rose to her feet. She started to turn away but then turned back to him and frowned.
“Make sure you do the same gimpy.” A small smile spread across her face making Rave chuckle. He slowly shook his head and stood up.
“Alright, mother. I’m going, I’m going.” He said stretching up to the ceiling and gave he a gentle smile. {A least she’s feeling a little better.} Rave thought to himself as Arywin turned and headed upstairs.
Rave followed her until he reached his room and even then he watched his sister until she closed the door to her room behind her. Shaking his head, Rave entered his room and closed the door to fall asleep.
Arywin stood in the middle of her room with her back to the door. It was dark; her curtains were drawn shut preventing any type of light from entering. This was what she craved, the darkness and cool places in the world. Shaking her head, Arywin glided over to her bed and climbed in. With the blankets surrounding her, Arywin slowing drifting off to sleep. Her dreams were darker as she dreamed about Daniel running away from her. His beautiful blue eyes that were once filled with love and compassion were now filled with fear.

Vampire 1 entry (continued)
Arywin’s eyes widened in horror at his words. The knots in her stomach started to twist around tighter and tighter making it all the more harder to breath. Not that she needed that breath. Trying to calm herself, Arywin took another sip of coffee. Her hands shook so bad that it was hard for her mouth to cover the hole on the coffee lid. It took all of her strength to lower the cup gently to the table without spilling it.
Her eyes happened to glance at the clock and guilt filled her as she realized that she had been away from Libby and Rave far too long. She looked back at Dr. Maxner and nodded slowly to him. “Thank you for the warning, John.” Arywin said as she stood up. Not wanting to hear more, she turned around and basically flew down the hall, throwing her coffee away as she walked passed the trash.
Her mind was racing with questions and concerns as she made her way back to Rave’s room. She was so preoccupied that she didn’t even realize that Rave was dressed and ready to head home. It took Libby’s constant nagging to bring Arywin back to reality. Together, Libby and Arywin helped Rave out to Libby’s car.
Normally, Arywin would have insisted that Rave sit in the back cause she had the dress on but tonight, Arywin climbed in the back without a word. Her thoughts were elsewhere and eventually both Rave and Libby gave up trying to keep an conversation with Arywin. It didn’t take Libby long to drive back to Arywin and Rave’s house.
After the two girls helped Rave into the house and settled him on the couch, Arywin ran upstairs really fast to change clothes. She came back down in a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and a pair of black sweatpants. Rave was now lounged on the couch, starring up at the ceiling with his hands behind his head. Arywin looked around but could find Libby anywhere.
“Where’s Libby?” She asked with confusion on her face as she starred at Rave. Rave laid there for a little while before returning her answer.
“Libby took off. She had some things to do before dawn and you weren’t much company anyway.” He turned his head to look at Arywin with a small smirk on his face. Arywin looked down at the floor with embarrassment.
“I’m sorry. I just had a lot of my mind.”
“We could tell. We didn’t get a single word out of you since we left the hospital.” Rave sat up on the couch and watched his sister with concern. “Arywin, is everything alright?”
Arywin looked at Rave with tears hanging from her eyes. She could hardly see him with the watery mist clouding her vision. “Oh Rave.” She squeaked and flew into his arms when he opened them to her. Sitting beside him, Arywin buried her head into his shoulder and allowed a few tears to fall. She could feel his arms wrap around her protectively. Slowly and smoothly, he began to rock her back and forth, gently smoothing out her hair.
“Hey, hey.” Rave said gently. “It’s alright, Arywin. Tell me what’s troubling you, Schwester.” Arywin made a sound somewhere between a hiccup and a sob. Rave chuckled at the sound and rested his cheek against Arywin’s head. She took several deep breaths before pulling away from Rave to look him in the eyes. His hands still remained on her shoulders incase she needed the support.
“I was talking to Dr. Maxner earlier about my relationship with Daniel. He doesn’t know Daniel’s name just that he’s a mortal and all. John, Dr. Maxner, warned me not to tell Daniel about me being a vampire. Said that mortals push away what they don’t understand.” Arywin buried her face in her hands. When Rave tried to pull her close to him, she pulled her hands away and shook her head.
“There’s more.” She stated and took a deep breath before looking up at Rave’s face. “Dr. Maxner also said that if Daniel would ever find out……he would either do one of two things. One, he’d either tell someone about me to get rid of me. Or he’d try and kill me himself.” Unable to stop them, tears rolled down her cheeks, blinding her vision. “The thing is Rave is that I can’t keep secrets from him……I love him too much.”
“Oh Arywin.” Rave sighed and pulled his sister close again. “Sh, sh. Everything is going to be alright, hun. You’re overacting to what one person told you. Daniel might be different. You just have to ask him and find out, alright?” Arywin nodded against Rave’s shoulder. Her tears began to slow until they had dried up against her cool cheeks.

Vampire 1 entry (continued)
John Maxner sat there for the longest moment, in silence. His blank expression slowly turned into a deep frown as he thought about Arywin’s question. Taking a quick sip of his coffee, John leaned forward and cleared his throat. “Arywin, I’m going to heed you some warning when it comes to mortals. Yes we can love them but they can’t truly love us for what we are. To most people, we would be considered monsters, daemons. Mortals fear us because of the stories that have been put under our names, our race.
“Mortals fear what they don’t understand and that leads them to destroy, thinking it’s a threat to their way of life. I know this. I have seen it time and time again, Arywin. Be careful when dealing with your mortal.” Dr. Maxner leaned back in his chair and looked around, making sure that no one had over heard what he had said.
Arywin also looked around and thought about what the doctor had said. The words sat in her stomach like rocks in a pond. Panic filled her but she kept it calm, not wanting to draw attention. Her dark blue eyes wondered back to John and she was surprised to see him starring at her with concern. Arywin shook her head and leaned forward.
“Is it possible that a human can accept a vampire as their lover? Whether they know that lover is a vampire or not?” Her eyes searched the doctor’s looking for something that would ease her discomfort.
Dr. Maxner leaned forward. Their faces were only inches away from each other, as if they were in a starring contest. Slowly he shook his head from side to side. “Arywin, that’s a dangerous path you are heading down. If your ‘date,’ as you call him, found out that you were a blood sucking vampire, how do you think he would react? Yes you grew up knowing about vampires and shape-shifters. He didn’t. You have to think about it from his point of view. Most mortals don’t believe in fantasies like ourselves. They believe that they are on top of the food chain.” He sighed and looked down at the cup of coffee in his hand. “Arywin, you have to break it off before he finds out more then what he’s suppose to know. For the safety of yourself, your family and our entire race. If he finds out Arywin, he’ll either run and tell someone who can take action, or…” John stopped talking and leaned back into his chair.
“Or what? How do you expect me to leave him…I love him.” Arywin gasped at what she had said. She didn’t realize her feelings were that extreme for Daniel. Forcing herself, Arywin looked back at John’s face pushing for him to finish his sentence. Her hands were flat upon the smooth white table. She was happy that she wasn’t gripping it, fearing that she would have broken the wood. John was looking away from her and she did everything she could to catch his eye again. Finally with a sigh, Dr. Maxner looked back at Arywin. His green eyes starred back at her with concern and worry.
“Or, Arywin, he will kill you himself.”
